Hartwell is a versatile and minimalist space for couples seeking sophisticated simplicity. We're located minutes away from downtown Raleigh's best hotels and amenities. From our serene rooftop balcony overlooking downtown Raleigh to our striking Main Room featuring a flexible space, ready to be transformed to match your vision and abundant natural light, Hartwell is a timeless, unique setting to celebrate with your loved ones on your special day.

AMENITIES

Hartwell offers multiple spaces to host your event. From our rooftop deck, onsite bar, two powder rooms and spaces to store belongings, and ample parking, you will be able to realize your vision fully at Hartwell. Our furniture is included in your rental. we have seating for roughly 40-50 guests. you are welcome to bring in additional furniture. Oh and by the way, unlike most venues, we do not charge a clean-up fee.

EXPERIENCE

Service is our top priority. Our goal is that your experience is enjoyable from start to finish. We allow unlimited communication and visits to the space during your planning process to ensure a seamless hosting experience. You will have Hartwell Staff present at your event as well as bartenders (two or more, depending on the size of your event) to serve drinks and make sure that you and your guests have the best time possible.

Hosting at Hartwell is distinctive in that We offer a truly unique space that is furnished and incredibly flexible. our events range from dinner parties, wedding celebrations, corporate luncheons, showers and everything in-between.

Stylish and sophisticated, with a touch of history. Welcoming and inviting. That's what you can expect when choosing Hartwell as your venue. With ample, versatile spaces you will be able to completely make it your own. From the beautiful natural light streaming in from the picture windows and the skylight, to the cool glow of the plants in the Main Room - you will throw an event your guests will never forget. 

LOCATION

We're located less than one mile from Downtown Raleigh with proximity to nearby hotels, restaurants, and activities for out of town guests to enjoy. The space itself offers 1,800 square feet in our main indoor area and rooftop deck. the maximum capacity is 90 people. our outdoor area can be used for parking or additional entertaining space. 

WEATHER PLAN

Rain, shine, summer swelter or winter chill - events at Hartwell are covered. With dedicated (and temperature controlled) indoor spaces for ceremonies and cocktail hours you'll be stress free and your guests will be comfortable!

YOUR DAY AT HARTWELL
Getting Ready

Put the finishing touches on your look at Hartwell's dedicated space. Drink champagne with your nearest and dearest, pump up the tunes and steal a moment of calm before heading to the ceremony. 

The Ceremony

If you choose to have your ceremony on the rooftop deck, you'll make your way up an enclosed, twinkle light illuminated staircase and emerge to walk down the aisle. Depending on the season, we can provide heaters or a fan to maximize the comfort of you and your guests.

Cocktail Hour

Congratulations! You're hitched! Now it's time to cheers to your happily ever after. As you head off to take pictures, guests can proceed to our beautiful covered and landscaped front patio or the Main Room for drinks and hors d'oeuvres.

The Reception

When the reception begins, double doors open to the Main Room where guests are invited in for dinner. Dance the night away with your loved ones under the glimmer of our dimmable, controlled lighting - setting the mood for the evening. The room's versatility allows for endless design possibilities + accommodates up to 90.

WEDDING PRICING

Rental rates allow for private access to the property and use of all our furniture and amenities.

Current Standard Rental Rates:

​

  • Monday- Thursday, $150/ hr

  • Friday-Sunday, $185/ hr*

*If 4+ hours are booked you receive $100 off booking

*if 8+ hours are booked you receive $200 off booking 

​

Current Seasonal Rental Rates:

​

  • Summer rates (July-August): $135/ hr

  • Holiday rates (November-December): $235/ hr*

*if 4+ hours are booked you receive $100 off the total booking rate

*if 8+ hours are booked you receive $200 off he total booking rate

Beverage Rates: 

​

we pride ourself in offering a carefully selected wine and beer menu that rotates seasonally. 

​

  1. Bar Package Rate: $21.99/person per two hour block

  2.  Non-alcoholic Package: $9.99/person per two hour block 

  3. Mimosa Package: $15.99/person per two hour block (Includes mimosas and nonalcoholic options)

  4. Cash Bar Rates:

    1. Beer: $6-$8​

    2. Wine: $11-$12

Depending on the structure of your event and/or budget, we also offer consumption only pricing in addition to the cash bar rates.
